ABOUT

I am a qualified Contracts/Procurement Manager and has more than three decades of experience in the project, contracting and commercial management environment from both the supplier/contractor and EPCM perspective.
 
I have gained valuable experience on large projects (NEC2, NEC3, FIDIC, CIDB and Client specific contracting formats) from a variety of sectors ranging from Rail, Ports, Power Stations, Petro Chemical and Mining. I have extensive experience in leading a team of contract and procurement professionals from pre-contract to post contract and project close out. My skill set includes detailed project set-up, alignment of all contract and procurement functions and procedures within the project environment, negotiations, adjudications and effective skills transfer capability.

I further have a total of 15 years experience in the industrial process automation industry providing products and solutions and delivering projects to the industry. Further to having profit and loss responsibility for all aspects of the Control Systems business in Southern Africa, I gained vast experience in negotiating and drafting of contracts, project planning, project costing, project execution and preparing multi million Rand tenders.

 

Also appointed as Project Director/Sponsor for various process automation projects across South Africa with a number of years experience in corporate governance, business administration, business and people management and business and people development.
 
I further have a solid technical back ground in the field of process measurement, automation and control and is also a qualified Avionic Technician and had the privilege of assisting with some aspects in the design and manufacture of the avionics systems for a fighter jet and attack helicopter being developed and manufactured in South Africa at that time.
